Fuller House & Desperate Housewives Stars Indicted in College Admissions Scam

Two Nevadans have been charged in a nation-wide college admissions scam

Prosecutors alleged that the organization "bribed college coaches to help admit the students into college as recruited athletes, regardless of their actual ability", according to CNN.

On a sport specific level, no one made out better in this scheme (until they got caught) than former Yale women's soccer coach Rudy Meredith, who just so happened to resign in November of previous year. Both Loughlin and Huffman went through Singer to gain admissions into colleges for their children, authorities said.

Among those charged are nine coaches of elite schools and 33 parents who prosecutors say paid "enormous sums" to guarantee their children's admission.

Huffman, known for playing Lynette Scavo on Desperate Housewives, is accused of paying $15,000, which she claimed as a charitable donation, to have her daughter's SAT answers changed, the Post reports.

As for Loughlin, she and her husband - Mossimo Giannulli, the founder of Mossimo clothing - allegedly paid $500,000 to have their 2 daughters designated as recruits for the crew team at USC ... despite the fact they did not actually participate in crew.

According to ABC, the scam "centered around a man in California who ran a business helping students get into the college of their choice".

Singer facilitated the cheating by advising students to seek "extended time on the exams, including by having their children purport to have learning disabilities in order to obtain medical documentation that ACT", the indictment says.

Bill McGlashan, private equity investor and CEO of the Rise fund appears to be one of the people charged in connection with the scam.

The United States Attorney's office in Boston announced charges against dozens of people accused in a nationwide college admissions scheme, including Oscar-nominated actress Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, of "Full House" fame.

William "Rick" Singer has been charged with running the alleged scheme through his company Edge College & Career Network.

College coaches and others have been charged in a sweeping admissions bribery case unsealed in federal court. News has confirmed that 13 defendants were taken into custody this morning in the Los Angeles area, including defendants Huffman and Loughlin.

She ended up scoring a 1420 - 400 points higher than she had gotten on a PSAT taken a year earlier, according to court documents.
