Neesham highlights Dhoni's importance in Indian cricket team

Dhoni, who has the most number of stumping to his name in global cricket with 190, was on every cricket fan's lips for his brilliant effort with the gloves to dismiss New Zealand's Jimmy Neesham in the fifth and final One-Day worldwide on Sunday. In the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli, India's top-order is likely to be bolstered by the presence of wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.

India who played terrific cricket in the ODI series was shocked in the fourth ODI when they were bowled out for just 92 runs. The match will be at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington.

Having featured in the Top 4 run-scorers in the ODI series, both of them would be looking to carry forward their good form in the T20Is as well.

It is worth mentioning that India will be playing a T20I in New Zealand for the first time since 2009.

And the wicketkeeper-batsman returned to action with a bang as he showed his masterclass not only behind the stumps but was also seen guiding stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma in setting the field positions. There are quite a few additions to the Indian team.

Pant who wasn't part of the India ODI squad that hammered New Zealand 4-1 recently, returns to the side for the T20I series, starting here on Wednesday. Sky Sports NZ will telecast the match live in New Zealand.

India vs New Zealand 1 T20I will be played at Wellington from 12:30 PM IST.

Hardik Pandya showed why he is considered a risky player when he smashed a match winning knock of 22 balls 45 runs.

The 37-year-old, who has the most number of stumping to his name in global cricket with 190, once again showed his antics behind the stumps when he dismissed Jimmy Neesham during New Zealand's chase of 252 runs.
