Batshuayi, who is now on loan at Valencia, has struggled to make an impression at the Mestalla and could return to Chelsea as both teams prepare to cut short his season-long deal.

"Batshuayi's situation is very clear", Alemany said on Thursday.

"We are expecting an exit in the few hours or days".

'The player knows. For the good of the player and the club, we are looking for a solution. Valencia say he will leave the club as soon as possible but his time in Spain might not be finished. "He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation".

During his time with the Chelsea first team previously, Batshuayi scored moments of brilliance on his way to fire in 19 goals for the club from 53 appearances in all competitions.

Batshuayi is a forgotten man around Chelsea following his loan exit, which has seen him score just three goals in 23 games for Valencia.

Earlier this week, Batshuayi was publicly criticised by his notoriously hot-headed manager, Marcelino, for a poor performance in the Copa del Rey defeat to Sporting Gijon.

The Belgium worldwide struggled for playing time at Los Che scoring just three times in 23 appearances. 'I think we need something different for characteristics'. "In some cases our patience has run out".

"We could have gone in front in the first minute".

Further, Chelsea are in search of an elite frontman of their own, but even in that climate, they are reportedly ready to sanction a cut-price deal for Batshuayi.
