"I couldn't look at myself in the mirror".

But if Gaga can use her power in this situation to get R Kelly in his purse, a place where his power truly lies now that his reputation is finally waning, then she has laid out a route for others to follow.

Martinez says that the series is "so powerful" because "you are seeing, you are hearing, we are crying".

Lady Gaga (pictured above left) is distancing herself from fellow musician R. Kelly (above right) after multiple women accused the rapper of sexual misconduct.

"We know what happened, and we know those things didn't happen", the attorney, Steven Greenberg, said in a pre-taped interview that aired on Friday's episode of Good Morning America. She announced in the statement that she plans to remove the song, "Do What U Want", from iTunes and streaming platforms.

During that time, Lady Gaga even defended R.Kelly and felt as though they had a connection when it came to dealing with false rumors.

"I´m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner", she posted on Twitter.

McGee and Martinez praised Gaga for the support.

As Gaga had, he noted that she worked with Kelly on the 2013 song "Do What U Want".

"That was really powerful of her", Martinez added. Another key takeaway is the reaction of the music community itself, made up of many artists who continued to work with Kelly despite persistent rumors of abuse.

"I believe the documentary has opened up a new era".

The Savage family said they have been unable to reach Joycelyn Savage for some time after associating with the singer.

Meanwhile, new accusations have surfaced, but this time made against R. Kelly's manager.

While Kelly was singing about not wanting to hurt anybody during his birthday party at the nightclub, activists gathered outside his West Side recording studio, marching for the young women they claim he sexually abused.

Although Kelly's birthday was actually Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT), the man tells the cheering crowd that it's his birthday and "I don't give a f-k what's going on tonight".

By "settlements", she is referring to a number of cases that were reportedly settled out of court, such as one in 2001 where a former Epic records intern alleged she had had a relationship with R Kelly when she was 17.
