We see Danvers have an extended chat with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, who quips that "Grunge is a good look on you".

We have to say that it is an impressive piece of concept art and is quite in line with Anthony and Joe Russo's upcoming movie. I mean, look, we can be anyone, and we're stronger than the rest of them.

This latest sneak peek at Captain Marvel is full of exciting new footage, and shows more of the friendship that is happening between Carol and Nick Fury. "She's one of the few people in the Marvel universe that can time travel, so..."

It then shifts to detail the Skrull space invasion, with Carol stating that the evil extraterrestrials are shape-shifters that can not be trusted - not even when they appear as gentle, sweet old ladies. The answer, as we know, is yes, he will. That's something that producer Jonathan Schwartz told reporters during a visit to the film's set that fans may just have to wait and see. "Or just as we were developing it, yes".

Is Jackson just confused? Most of the rest of the Marvel comic universe are punks basically.

"I think he's read the script, we talked to him about it", Captain Marvel executive producer Jonathan Schwartz told Comic Book (the interview was conducted before Gunn was sacked, but only published today). That's pretty powerful, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige himself has previously confirmed that Carol is more powerful than any other character in the MCU thus far.

After joining an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law's enigmatic commander, Carol is thrown into an intergalactic battle after the Skrulls invade Earth, led by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos at the head of the army. The real question though is whether Avengers: Endgame can live up to the hype, and we'll find out when the film hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
