On third down at the 25-yard line, Jackson faked the handoff and took off right down the heart of the Cleveland Browns' defense and outraced everyone as he went the distance on the 25-yard touchdown.

A month after that game, rookie Lamar Jackson took over at quarterback, the defense stiffened, and the Ravens used a 5-1 streak to move past Pittsburgh into first place.

Baltimore already had its quarterback of the future.

After killing off the final seconds, the Ravens danced into their locker room, donned caps proclaiming them AFC North champs, and mugged for selfies and shots of each other. His second interception was answered later with a 48 yard TD pass to Jarvis Landry.

Mayfield played against the No. 1 defense in the National Football League, and discovered what he must do in the offseason to beat a great defense. And for much of the first half, they continued to that goal unabated. Two rushing touchdowns very well should've been four if it weren't for a ball that came inches away from the goal line and a very questionable holding call on Maxx Williams. Overall the Ravens rushed for 296 yards, and the Browns missed tackles all afternoon.

The Baltimore Ravens flipped the script and put one heck of an ending on a regular season that featured countless surprises and plot twists.

There will be plenty of time to revel in the team's first AFC North title since 2012 and break down the matchup with Los Angeles in the coming week. Jackson dived over the pile and reached out with his arms to try and break the plane of the end zone. "At least we got the ball back". The problem was, it cost Peppers a fumble recovery for a touchdown that would've pulled the Browns to within 20-14 just before the half.

With less than three minutes remaining, the Ravens had the ball at the Browns' 3. The 2016 Heisman victor has gone 6-1 as a starter, transforming a struggling Ravens team into a bidding AFC North Champion, with even higher hopes come playoff time.

ANYONE CAN DO IT: Kyle Williams lined up in the backfield, ran out to the flat, made the catch and turned up field for a nine-yard gain.

Mayfield had trimmed a 13-point deficit to two and had the Browns on the march, but C.J. Mosley tipped and picked a fourth-down pass with 62 seconds left to seal the win.

Perriman told Cleveland.com this week that Mayfield's faith in him has restored his confidence in himself.
