Twitter Rebuffs Rudy Giuliani's Claim That the Social Network Sabotaged Him

Rudy Giuliani accidentally roasted president Trump with the perfect typo

Someone bought that domain and had it redirect to a site that makes fun of Donald Trump.

Last week, someone turned one of Rudy Giuliani's Twitter typos into a website that declares, "Donald J. Trump is a traitor to our country".

While he now works as a legal advisor to the White House, Trump originally brought Giuliani in as a cybersecurity advisor.

The G-20.In website set up by Jason Velazquez to take advantage of Rudy Giuliani's typo.

Rudy Giuliani became the latest conservative to lash out at Twitter, accusing it of allowing someone to "invade my text" after he fell victim to a prank unrelated to the social media company.

Several Twitter users suggested that Trump's lawyer might be a secret member of the so-called "Resistance", which allegedly sabotages the U.S. president's "dangerous" initiatives from within the White House.

A Twitter spokesman said "the accusation that we're artificially injecting something into a tweet is completely false".

Possibly trying to get the most out of his 280 characters or maybe just unfamiliar with phone keyboards, he emitted the spaces between the periods and the first letter of the following sentence.

The Twitter storm began when the former NY mayor made a typo in a tweet criticising the Russian Federation investigation, omitting a space and accidentally creating a hyperlink.

After discovering the gaffe, Giuliani tweeted on Tuesday that he didn't mistype the tweet. "Twitter automatically creates a URL if the word that follows is a top-level domain, which in this case was ".in" which is the top-level domain for India. "Instead he tweeted about it and created a conspiracy theory against Twitter".

Well, the clever Twitter user jasondotgov saw a golden opportunity and registered the link.

In August, he accidentally wrote "hate 'me" rather than "hate 'em" leading several users to respond that they were happy to comply.

Keep that in mind as we travel back to Friday, when Giuliani tweeted some complaints about Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
