The second trailer for Marvel Studios' "Captain Marvel", starring Brie Larson, dropped Monday, and we're already wishing it were March. Both characters were also turned to ashes in Infinity War. But upon her return to Earth, she realizes that there's more to her past than she realized.

It seems that Carol and Nick Fury's investigations aren't totally being done under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s official approval, as the two are seen commandeering an aircraft on Earth. The story was controversial, but the premise could form a solid overarching plot going into the MCU's fourth phase. I'm willing to bet big money @DisneyStudios moves Avengers 4 release date so it is day and date around the world like the last film. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

While the previous trailer strongly hinted at the loss of Carol's memories, this trailer makes it text.

We also get a glimpse of Jude Law, who is either playing the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell, or Yon-Rogg, a Kree military commander, or just a regular old Starforce Commander. So you could live longer, stronger, superior.

"Heroes", she corrects him.

Maybe that's why she's been missing in the years between the film and the modern MCU.

But the trailer than takes a turn, revealing that Danvers had a past life on Earth.

The final shot of the trailer features Fury marveling over how cute Carol's cat Goose is.

Are you as hyped for Captain Marvel as I am, what did you think of the latest trailer? We see Danvers taking out a room full of baddies all at once with an energy attack, and then - in all her blazing glory - streaking through space, indiscriminately laying waste to what appears to be an entire armada of invading Skrull vessels.

That may turn out to be the rough arc of the film as well. "And you're a Kree", Fury asks, "a race of noble warriors?"

Check out the new Captain Marvel trailer below. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississipi Grind) direct from a script by Meg LeFauve (Inside Out), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (GLOW), as well as Boden and Fleck. It's something she will obviously discover through the course of Captain Marvel, while confronting the Skrull danger led by Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).
