After a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli sit top with 6 points, level on points with Liverpool but ahead of the English side on head-to-head results.

"We had a bad game in Belgrade and we never ignore that".

"The season so far, point-wise, is really successful but it doesn't feel like that for two reasons. There were a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didn't do it, we made the wrong decisions".

Liverpool were not at the races in Serbia and they were punished for it.

"We must work together and show people we are a team and must be available to go into battle and be fearless". We made life a bit too easy tonight.

Klopp stressed he was not concerned about the form of Mohamed Salah and his forward players, but is it clear he is expecting a reaction from his men after their below par display in Belgrade.

Liverpool lead Group C with six points from three matches while Red Star are last with one.

"We need to immediately improve in a way to win the game".

"As I said, they deserved it with the passion they fought [with]".

Liverpool have lost three consecutive Champions League away games for the first time.

Liverpool will embark on a trip to Belgrade, as they gear up to take on Serbian outfit Crvena Zvezda in their Group C encounter of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League at the Rajko Mitic Stadium on Tuesday night.

The outstanding Borjan again denied Salah from close range in the 82nd minute as Liverpool piled on the pressure but the visitors could not find a way through Red Star's packed and well-organised defence.

But we always thought that - if it is in place, they have to do something with it.

Red Star predictably settled into a rigid defensive formation, and were able to hold on for a famous win, roared on by a raucous home crowd. The Reds failed to land a shot on target in their other away game in the competition this season vs Napoli.

Liverpool visit French champions PSG on November 28 before hosting Napoli on December 11. We have to admit a lot of things are better than past year by the start of November, but spectacular football in each game hasn't happened. That's not cool in a game like this, in an atmosphere like this, in situation like this, if you have to play your best football in a kind of negative mood.

However, it would be preferable to avoid a nail-biting Anfield finale which would require them to beat the Serie A side by two goals to overturn their head-to-head record against Carlo Ancelotti's team.
