The new Overwatch hero is Ashe: here are her abilities

Early next year you'll be able to build your flawless Overwatch team, not with in-game matchmaking, but with new officially licensed LEGO sets of all your favorite heroes.

Blizzard unveiled the next Overwatch hero during Blizzcon today: Elizabeth Caledonia "Calamity" Ashe, better known as Ashe.

The leader of the Deadlock Rebels, Ashe was first revealed (but not officially as a new hero) as part of McCree's animated short, Reunion.

Blizzard did not reveal when Ashe would be dropping, but likely characters arrive within a month or two of when they're revealed.

The second character revealed was not given a gameplay trailer, nor did she show off any combat abilities in the cinematic. Her semi automatic rifle is called the Viper and players can either use the scope for more accurate shots or without the scope for faster ones.

"She blasts enemies by throwing dynamite, and her coach gun packs enough punch to put some distance between her and her foes". One thing is for sure though, the audience reaction to her and her Ultimate Bob-the-mustach'd-robot was overwhelmingly positive. This year is no exception, with new Overwatch heroes and even a new Overwatch cereal announced.

BlizzCon 2018 is well underway, and with it comes a ton of new announcements from the studio. Like Ashe, Echo has some sort of connection to McCree, so I get the feeling we'll see her again.
