The back four pretty might not change, with Sarri clearly defining the roles of first-team regulars and fringe players who will largely feature in cup competitions.

Only Wolves in the Premier League have used fewer players than Chelsea this season, with Sarri sparingly calling upon either Moses or Drinkwater.

Drinkwater, a £30 million signing from Leicester City in the summer of 2017, has not featured in any competition for Chelsea since the Community Shield in August and Sarri suggested that the England worldwide will not be playing for him any time soon. There's creases that Sarri will be hoping to iron out, but when you have players like Hazard at your disposal, there is no roof on how much your team can achieve.

"I told him two months ago what I think. I'll be surprised if you come back here, but you know you're always welcome".

"They have to improve but their characteristics are a little bit different".

The coach who has overseen ten successive unbeaten games thus far has the chance of equalling a Premier League record unbeaten run at the start of his tenure. "At the moment Jason Puncheon is very much part of our plans, the way we play and he's very disappointed tonight because in the previous two rounds we've done really well and won and tonight we missed an opportunity by not being able to win this game".

"I have to look at all competitions - 90 minutes is 90 minutes".

While Moses is struggling for a place in The Blues' mainframe, 22-year-old Loftus-Cheek has found his form and had a recent hat-trick to show in the Europa League, such that Sarri is now eager to keep the youngster.

"If you look at December and January, you need to change also in the Premier League because we will play every three days in the Premier League, so we also need to change in this".

So I think the rotation is good.
