- The NYPD Bomb Squad removed a suspicious package found at Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film Center in Lower Manhattan Thursday morning. FBI Public Affairs Specialist Dave Fitz told CNN agents were "responding with our law enforcement partners to a US Postal facility in DE".

"We will not rest until we stop these hazardous devices from being mailed and bring the individual or individuals to justice", said C. Bryan Paarmann, an Federal Bureau of Investigation counterterrorism official.

The investigation to find the person or persons who has sent these packages has widened to the New York, Washington, Florida, and Los Angeles areas.

X-rays showed that it contained an apparent pipe bomb like the others.

Police sent the package to a secure facility in the Bronx, said New York Police Department Commissioner James O'Neill.

At June's Tony Awards, De Niro went off-script while introducing a performance by Bruce Springsteen to curse Trump. The package looked similar to the others and had a similar device inside, the source said. It's unclear if the return address was Wasserman Schultz's. Authorities have said nothing about possible motives or suspects.

"A lot of arrows pointing to Florida", the official told CBS News.

On Wednesday, a suspicious device found at the Time Warner Center and CNN's NY headquarters was addressed to Brennan, prompting an evacuation of the building.

The address is linked to the Tribeca Film Center and Tribeca Grill, according to Google Maps, but the packaged was located in an office on one of the higher floors of the building, said cops.

CNN's NY bureau in midtown Manhattan was also reportedly sent a package. "Today, my staff and I will hug each other and our loved ones tightly, and tomorrow we will get back to work serving the people I was elected to represent".

"We condemn violence in all forms. This appalling attack on our democracy must be vigorously prosecuted, and I am deeply disturbed by the way my name was used", Wasserman Schultz said in a statement.

A series of pipe bombs sent to prominent Democrats including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has deepened political tensions and fears two weeks before national midterm elections.

"I know a lot of partisans, I know a lot of passionate liberals, I know a lot of passion of conservatives, but I don't know any of them that are going to make bombs and try to kill people on the other side".

None of the bombs have detonated and nobody has been hurt in any of the incidents.

The FBI are treating the packages as a domestic terror incident, and law enforcement sources believe the same suspect or suspects may be behind all of the packages.

Earlier Wednesday, there was heightened law enforcement presence at the Chappaqua, New York home of Bill and Hillary Clinton after a device was intercepted at a nearby facility where the Secret Service screens their mail.

"An explosive sent to CNN prompted the evacuation of the Time Warner Center in NY, but no one was hurt".

A suspicious package addressed to actor-director Robert De Niro was reported early Thursday at the Manhattan building where his production company is based, and its marking and contents appear similar to pipe bomb packages recently mailed nationwide to top Democrats, two law enforcement sources said.

The pipe bombs were packed with shards of glass and were intercepted.

Federal authorities intercepted several more suspicious packages on Thursday morning, bringing the total to 10 suspicious packages found.

Speaking to reporters, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked if Donald Trump would stop laying into political opponents given the recipients of the suspicious packages.
