With No Winner US Mega Millions Jackpot Rises To Record $1.6 Billion

But with Mega Millions at a USA record $1.6 billion, you could say Powerball's potential payout after Saturday's drawing is just a measly $476 million.

The $1.6 billion estimated jackpot would be the largest prize in USA history. The changes made it less likely that any given ticket will win the top prize, but they increased chances of winning smaller prizes. If there is a victor, they will get the 13th largest payout in history.

The Mega Millions lottery in the USA has reached an epic $1.6 billion after no one won the 41 billion prize on Friday night. Reports indicate that almost 280 million tickets were purchased for the drawing. The second-largest jackpot was a $1.586 billion Powerball drawing on January 13, 2016.

Then on Saturday, no winners were selected in the Powerball drawing.

Tickets are $2 at any place that sells N.C. lottery tickets.

But, although there were 15 second-tier winning tickets of at least $1 million across nine states, nobody won the jackpot - putting the prize for Tuesday's draw at a record $1.6 billion.

You must match all five numbers plus the Mega number to win the grand prize.

The winning numbers on Saturday were 16, 54, 57, 62, 69, and the Powerball was 23. Again, the computer can do this for you if you don't want to choose your own numbers.

The lucky player matched all five white numbers drawn but was just one number shy of the jackpot.
