Spotify Premium Update Adds 'Endless Artist Radio'

Earlier this year, Spotify upgrade its free service to allow those without the cash to have a little more freedom within the music-streaming app.

The Spotify update, which starts rolling out to Premium subscribers on iOS and Android globally on Thursday, also simplifies navigation by cutting down the number of tabs at the bottom of the app from five to three (leaving just Home, Search and Your Library). Artists Radio Playlists have also been revamped and brought to the forefront.

With the updated search Spotify will start showing you Top Genres in an ever-changing page that is probably more about discovery than anything.

The Premium streamers will see changes to their apps sometime this week starting today, while the Wear OS app will start rolling out later this week.

Personalized Search: Our redesigned Search page is the new one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and more-whether the subscriber knows what they're searching for or wants to explore something new.

There's a new search system in the mix in this month's update.

The new navigation is being called "refined", as it aims to help "people quickly find what they're looking for".

Spotify is rolling out a new update for Premium subsribers that includes a new streamlined UI, personalized artist radio, and a better search experience. "At the top of the screen, listeners can find their Top Genres-from indie to country to reggae-and easily discover the music that best reflects them and their mood". The endless listening stream is personalized for your musical preferences. Especially when these "radio stations" are "updated regularly to keep things fresh", as well as available to play while offline.
