The controversy overshadowing Saturday's lucrative The Everest race meeting took another twist with betting on the feature race suspended until the barrier draw was released to the public due to risks of a security breach.

He threatened her job live on air and told her she was "out of her depth", but Alan Jones still isn't convinced he bullied Opera House CEO Louise Herron last Friday. It should be noted that Herron was upholding the statute of the Opera House in doing so.

Barricades were installed in the forecourt, while water police patrolled the perimeter of the Opera House.

The protest is in response to the NSW government's decision to override an earlier ruling by the chief executive of the Opera House, Louise Herron, who did not want to project horse names and branding on the building's sails.

An online petition against the event, now signed by over 290,000 people, was delivered to State Parliament on Tuesday morning but the petition's organiser, Mike Woodcock, said Premier Gladys Berejiklian did not accept it.

The NSW Heritage Council said it was extremely disappointed with the government's decision which would turn the "international architectural masterpiece" into a billboard. He cut her off immediately as she attempted to explain the heritage listing of the Opera House and then said he would be calling the Premier.

Mr Quint said the legal exemptions allowing projection onto the sails made clear that they must be "non-commercial occasions of brief duration".

"Gave her a big talking to. you're allowed to project on there, that's the biggest billboard in Sydney, mate". "Call Alan" onto the famous building.

'I don't know why people are getting so precious about it.

Alan Jones' mobile is probably running hot this morning after those naughty wags at The Chaser projected his phone number onto the sails of the Sydney Opera House alongside the caption, "Advertise here".
