According to Bloomberg, the next lot of episodes will be hitting Netflix this December - perhaps in a similar move to Season 4, which dropped in full on 29 December previous year.

Netflix is a good avenue through which to explore how well interactive TV can work for consumers.

The idea of an interactive Black Mirror episode is a compelling one, especially considering that the series itself explores the intersection of technology and society as well as its implications, many of which reveal the dark, nightmarish side of the conveniences of our modern world. The company has reportedly already signed a deal for another adult live-action choose-your-adventure type project and has more that are now in negotiations.

Black Mirror Season 5 is set to release on Netflix sometime in December 2018.

This news comes from Bloomberg, who have reported a single episode of the upcoming fifth series will be interactive. "Not only did the company have to tweak some of its back-end technology to integrate interactive content into its catalog, Netflix and its studio partners also had to figure out how to best tell these kinds of stories", she added. It's certainly attention-grabbing, and I could see the concept working on an extremely meta-level with Black Mirror.

The first project of the new lineup is expected to be released by the end of this year, with an episode of Netflix's popular sci-fi show "Black Mirror". The hope is to "blend elements of video games with traditional television", and that could certainly appeal to many viewers.

If you've ever wanted the power to decide how your favorite television show ends, you will soon have that chance. The original lineup of interactive programing on the platform was announced in June of this year and included the children's programing titles, Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale, Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile, and Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout.
