Arsenal legend Martin Keown has said that Jose Mourinho "seems to be at war with his players" following the latest controversies surrounding Manchester United.

Mourinho has been openly critical of his star midfielder in recent times, saying that his work rate isn't up to standard.

In spite of him slowly losing support in the dressing room, United's high command is reportedly backing Mourinho to guide the team out of a poor run of form.

Pogba performed impressively as France won the World Cup this year, scoring in the 4-2 final win over Croatia, but Mourinho forewent a pre-season opportunity to praise his player and pointedly questioned his capacity to focus over the course of a whole campaign.

This was the first time Lampard had faced one of his former managers in the technical area and a famous victory at Old Trafford has given him the thirst for more special wins in the dugout.

Woodward has also come under fire after overseeing a summer transfer window during which United spent £68m to sign Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.

United, whose squad includes World Cup victor Paul Pogba, David de Gea and Alexis Sanchez, said revenue is expected to be between 615 million pounds and 630 million pounds in the year to next June.

Furthermore, Mourinho's treatment of Pogba and other players has "angered and frustrated" many Manchester United players, ESPN's Mark Ogden reported Wednesday, citing sources. "That's Old Trafford", Pogba was quoted as saying in his post-match interview.

Jose Mourinho confirmed Paul Pogba has been stripped of the vice-captaincy at Manchester United, but insists they have not fallen out.

"The players were happy with that decision and the reasons behind the manager's decision."

"We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves".

Pogba, who returned to Manchester in 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89 million (RM484.1 million) struggled towards the end of last season, left out of the starting line-up or substituted on a number of occasions.

Pogba defended his comments earlier this week on his desire to see United "attack, attack, attack" after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Derby defeated United 8-7 on penalties at Old Trafford after the third-round clash ended 2-2 at 90 minutes.
