Cosby is taken away in handcuffs after his sentencing
Bill Cosby, sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison, arrived Tuesday night to Pennsylvania's State Correctional Institute at Phoenix.
Or maybe she didn't attend Monday's hearing because she couldn't take listening to prosecutors push to have her 81-year-old husband classified as "a sexually violent predator", the New York Times reported.
The biggest difference from the first trial - which ended in a mistrial - was O'Neill's decision to let jurors hear from five other women who say Cosby had also drugged and violated them. President Donald Trump's nominee for Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, is now under pressure after a professor Christine Blasey Ford alleged that in the early 1980s Kavanaugh had attempted to rape her.
Bill Cosby on September 25 spent his first night in prison in Pennsylvania as Inmate No. NN7687, and he reportedly fed a cup of Jell-O.
Corrections Secretary John Wetzel said the prison's long-term goal is to place Cosby in the general population.
"No one is above the law".
Cosby's legal team; however, argued that he should be sent home on house arrest because he is old, frail and legally blind.
Cosby, once known as "America's Dad" for his role as the beloved patriarch of the Huxtable family on the 1980s television comedy "The Cosby Show", has been accused by more than 50 women of sexual abuse dating back decades.
"I asked her is she happy with the sentence", Feden said.
Over the years, Philadelphia magazine has chronicled Crosby's decline, at times advancing the story and knowledge of the accusations against the comedian.
But that changed in May when Camille Cosby issued a lengthy Facebook post, in which she compared her husband to lynching victim Emmett Till and to other falsely accused African-American men.
At his sentencing on Monday, Cosby's defense attorneys anxious that Cosby's age, vision impairment and declining health could make him a target.
Constand went to police a year after waking up in a fog at Cosby's estate, her clothes askew, only to have the district attorney pass on the case. Instead, they suggested he was being influenced by his wife, a social worker who has described herself as an "activist and advocate for assault victims". She also reportedly said, "See, I got the last laugh pal", while looking at Cosby. And it's located next to the infirmary, a press release from the prison said.
Cosby's sentence included lifetime mandatory sex offender counseling.
