Paul Pogba offered a damning critique of Manchester United's performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers, admitting that they lacked hunger and betrayed the club's traditions by failing to attack the opposition.

The Red Devils dropped yet more points in the Premier League title race as they were pegged back by the visitors at Old Trafford this weekend.

United could have come out for the second half fighting to end the game with a second goal, but instead it was Wolves who threatened immediately after the break, eventually netting the equaliser through Joao Moutinho in the 53rd-minute. He has been happy to fuel the uncertainty about his own future at Manchester United and done little to disguise a frosty relationship with Jose Mourinho but, beyond questioning the team's attitude after the woeful 3-2 defeat at Brighton, he has strayed away from criticising the way they play under the Portuguese.

Speaking at his post-match news conference, Mourinho said: "I expect my team to make a better game than we did". 'When we play like this it's easier for us'.

"I'm not the manager, I can not say but obviously we should show more option of playing but I can not say because I'm a player", he said. "They started better were more aggressive, had more intent and I don't know why but they were more motivated". "That's Old Trafford", said Pogba on Saturday after the Wolves match.

And he reckons both Jose Mourinho and Pogba's team-mates are getting fed up with him. "Overall we don't deserve more than this".

"He's supposed to be one of the best players in the world - stop moaning and get on with it!"

Mourinho, meanwhile, questioned the desire of his players after the defeat and Pogba believes United's Champions League tie in midweek may have had an impact, a theory Pogba agreed with. What's stopping us? I can't tell you because I'm a player. I know I lost the ball [for the goal].

'We didn't lose, but for me we should have won.
