Brie Larson Makes History in Marvels "Captain Marvel"; Here's How

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel

The long-awaited debut of the teaser trailer for Captain Marvel answered some questions, raised others, and presented fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with plenty of reasons to cheer - from the introduction of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers to the the return of Agent Coulson to the big screen to the live-action debut of the shape-shifting Skrulls.

Of course, there would need to be a reason for a cat to appear on the poster, and there's every suggestion that this is in fact Chewie, Captain Marvel's faithful pet. Chewie was first introduced in Marvel comic books in 2006 when Carol Danvers left Earth to go exploring the galaxy, and she gave Chewie that name because she reminded her of Chewbacca from Star Wars.

"Captain Marvel" doesn't hit theaters until the spring, but the highly anticipated superhero flick is already taking the internet by storm. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

And it looks like the film will develop the relationship between Fury and Captain Marvel further.

With many Marvel fans still shaken by the ending of "Avengers: Infinity War" Brie Larson as Captain Marvel will hopefully save the day while making history. And we even got a few looks at her iconic red, blue, and gold suit.

In the case of Nick Fury, it's a chance to see him as a (two-eyed!) agent working with his first real superhero years before he becomes Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. -and years before he approaches Iron Man about forming a team of them. We saw her kicking ass as a fighter pilot in the Air Force. That means when confronted they can pull out jagged teeth, insane tentacles, and more, and Chewie's done all of that and more to defend Captain Marvel.

'I feel very grateful and thankful because I've gotten to work with Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), and I got to play young Captain Marvel.
