Mike McCarthy Provides Even More Uncertainty With Latest Aaron Rodgers Update

He has termed his injury a sprained knee. He tore the ACL in his knee in high school, and played with the injury for four years before having surgery while in college at California.

For starters, there is the very public status of Rodgers, who is not practicing Thursday, Mike McCarthy said Thursday. While he did not say that means Rodgers is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, he sounded less certain than the quarterback. Try to do more today.

"It's hard whether he's home or away, because he's so good and can really put the ball wherever he wants, from any position on the field whether he's moving right, moving left or staying in the pocket, buying time for his guys, he can make any throw that you can imagine", Smith said Wednesday.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will miss his second straight day of practice Thursday as he continues to recover from his knee sprain suffered Sunday. "He walks on water so I'm sure he's gonna play".

"You hate that you're dealing with something like this in the first week, but you feel similar to this Week 13, 14, 15, 16, 17", Rodgers said.

"I think anytime a player comes off a game where he's injured, obviously there's the hope of playing", McCarthy added.

Not to mention, if Rodgers were to take the field, he would face off against a tough and loaded Vikings defense, that on paper, would give the signal caller issues throughout the game. If you take Minnesota as a huge road favorite and Rodgers plays, you are NOT feeling good about life.

Which is a long way of saying that perhaps this line does not actually represent real value in terms of what to expect from the betting market.

Rodgers' status will be one to monitor once we get closer to Sunday's game. "But. two days is not going to make or break whether (we have) success, whether it's me and DeShone, me and Aaron, whoever it may be".
