Trump Tells Montana Rally Crowd: If I Get Impeached, it's Your Fault

But I say how do you impeach someone who does a great job? "That hasn't done anything wrong?"

President Donald Trump told his supporters that if he is removed from Presidency it will be their fault because they did it go out to vote and support him. You didn't go out to vote - that's the only way it could happen.

"I beat all of these senators, all of these governors, all of these brilliant political minds", said Trump, alluding to the field of 16 other Republicans who ran for president. I'll be the only president in history where they'll say what a job he's done!

Neither senator has laid down clear markers on how they will vote on Kavanaugh's nomination, which Senate Republican leaders hope to bring to a floor vote later this month - just weeks before the November 6 general election.

If the probe ends without a criminal prosecution of Trump, Hamilton says, there will be many Democrats who will be disappointed. Trump supporters watching the rally on Fox News expressed their annoyance with him on the social media platform.

"If I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash, I think everybody would be very poor, " Trump said. "Because without this thinking, you would see numbers that you wouldn't believe".

"You know the good thing about that?"

Asked by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt about whether Trump can be indicted, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday that the Justice Department "has taken the position. that the appropriate remedy for presidential misbehavior is impeachment", though he added that he is "not an expert on this".

After this week's anonymous New York Times op-ed - purportedly penned by a senior Trump administration official who noted that removing the president via the 25th Amendment of the Constitution has been discussed - Democratic U.S. Sen. "Really, really unfair for the midterms", Trump said. "He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the American people".
