The Toffees are claimed to have an agreement with Barcelona for Mina on the basis of a €32m fee.

However, it appears that Manchester United are unwilling to pay the €40 million that Barcelona are seeking.

Mina is a potential target for both clubs, with Barcelona seemingly happy to let the Colombian defender leave the Camp Nou after his short tenure at the club.

A new centre-back is on the agenda as doubts continue over Phil Jones and Chris Smalling while Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof are being linked with moves away from Old Trafford and Man Utd have been linked with Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire in recent weeks. So they have gone after Mina, who wants more game time.

Yerry Mina joined Barcelona in January of 2018 from Brazilian-side, Palmeiras.

The Colombian, who sparked with his country at this year's Fifa World Cup in Russian Federation, has been seeking move away from the Liga champions all summer due to lack of playing time.

There has also been speculation that Manchester United are interested, although this hasn't been confirmed by either club.

Do you think Mina would be good enough for United?

There are rumors that Manchester United are close to signing Toby Alderweireld for £60m and hence Everton seem to be in pole position to sign Mina.

According to reports, the players has agreed on personal terms with Manchester United.

Tottenham also want Anthony Martial included as part of the deal but while Mourinho is happy for the France global to leave, Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, wants to keep the player at Old Trafford. It looks like this deal might go through just before or right on the deadline day.
