Barcelona transfer news Arturo Vidal has reportedly agreed terms with Barca

FC Barcelona have just officially confirmed an agreement with Bayern Munich for their midfielder, Arturo Vidal, to sign a three-year contract at the Camp Nou. The agreement is pending a medical, which will be held over the next few days. "I really enjoyed my time in Munich", Vidal told Bayern's website as his departure was announced.

Vidal has won a league title in each of his last seven seasons, the last three at Bayern Munich and the four prior at Serie A giants Juventus.

According to Spanish newspapers Mundo Deportivo and AS and United Kingdom daily The Guardian, Barcelona are prepared to pay 30 million euros ($35m, Sh3.5 billion) for the box-to-box midfielder.

Temperamental on and off the pitch, Vidal's last season with Bayern was marked by injuries, including one to his knee which he picked up during training and which forced him to undergo surgery in April.

The 31-year-old is Barca's fourth major recruit of the close season following Brazilian midfielder Arthur's arrival from Gremio, the capture of Bordeaux winger Malcom at Roma's expense and defender Clement Lenglet's switch from LaLiga counterparts Sevilla.

However, new Bayern boss Niko Kovac is keen to trim his squad and felt his options were bloated in midfield.

The Chilean worldwide joined Bayern Munich in 2015 from Juventus, and won the Bundesliga title in each of his three seasons at the club.

Having signed rising Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka, 23, on a free transfer from Schalke, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said earlier this week that they have too many midfielders.
