President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, called in to "Outnumbered" Monday to clarify remarks he made earlier in the day on "Fox & Friends" about alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

He later told CNN: "The hacking is the crime".

Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 US presidential election.

In a confidential January 29 letter to the special counsel leaked to the New York Times in June, two of Trump's attorneys say that the President knew only that Flynn had been interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

TRUMP on Twitter Tuesday: "Collusion is not a crime, but that doesn't matter because there was No Collusion (except by Crooked Hillary and the Democrats)!"

Trump himself made a similar argument to The New York Times in December.

In Trump's case, collusion is not a crime-it's many crimes. "The President didn't hack".

"There's not any evidence of any collusion here involving our client and the Russians", Sekulow told Fox, adding that he and his team of lawyers had looked through 1.4 million documents related to the Trump campaign and the special counsel investigation.

Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 USA presidential election, something commonly referred to as collusion by the media and public officials.

Russian Federation has denied the finding of U.S. intelligence agencies previous year that it interfered to sway the election to Trump. Camerota asked Giuliani about a "contentious business relationship" that Trump claims to have had with Mueller-possibly over a membership dispute the two reportedly had regarding one of Trump's golf properties.

He said: "I have been sitting here looking in the federal code trying to find collusion as a crime.Collusion is not a crime".

President Trump has repeatedly denied any accusations of collusion, and has branded the Mueller investigation a politically motivated "Witch Hunt", started by his political opponents on a false premise.

"The odds are against it, but I wouldn't be shocked, because he wants to do it", Giuliani said.

"Right now I'm telling him 'no way, '" he said, asking why Trump would testify in an investigation that has "no legitimacy".
