The new tier will be called Origin Access Premiere and it will share the all-you-can-play model that the original service, now to be called basic, plus you get more. Today the company confirmed that the program will begin next week. With Basic, you will get a 10% discount on purchases made on the Origin Store along with "Play First Trials" which is a time-limited game trial for new games.

EA is going all in on unlimited gaming. Now EA is readying a premium version of the service, Origin Access Premier, with early access to a wide range of EA titles.

The new Premier tier will also be able to access the back catalogue. "And certainly from a gamer standpoint, the feedback was very, very positive in terms of the opportunity to access more great games at great value with reduced friction", Wilson said.

Origin Access Premier will complement EA's existing Origins Access on PC (and EA Access on Xbox One). And if you end up not liking the game, you can simply move on without worry of all the money you paid.

10% discount in the Origin Store on full games, pre-orders, expansions, Federation Internationale de Football Association points, and more.

While we have confirmation now by an EA executive, the website for Origin Access still asks us to "Stay tuned for more details, coming soon!". So technically, over time your total cost of ownership could be higher than actually buying the games if you're a long-term user who doesn't download many titles.

So, if you're looking forward to incoming titles like Battlefield V, Madden 19, or Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, but you don't like the idea of dropping $60 for each of them, it sounds like getting a Premier subscription might not be a bad way to play through them all. EA has launched a help page online, but it's anemic at the moment.
