Here's What To Do If You Are Banned From The Thanos Subreddit

On July 5 the subreddit was at 360,000 subscribers.

On July 9, the moderators behind r/thanosdidnothingwrong will ban half of its members in honor of Thanos' ultimate goal of destroying half of the world's population to protect survivors from starvation and overcrowding, inspired by (***SPOILER ALERT***) the ending of Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. The subreddit became so popular that it caught the eye of Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo as well as Thanos himself, Josh Brolin. The Russo Brothers delivered a video of Brolin in bed, recreating the mighty snap. Of course, you won't turn to dust if you're in the half that's banned from the subreddit, so at least there's that. After much back and forth, the moderators agreed - meaning 230,000 users will soon be banished from the subreddit with the snap of a finger.

So dread it, run from it, because whatever happens, if you're part of the subreddit, you could be one of the thousands receiving a ban come the 9th. Let's hope he doesn't take it too hard, who knows what it could mean for the production of Avengers 4. Jim Starlin, the dude who created Thanos, spoke to Collider during Comic-Con in Las Vegas and revealed about the possibility of an extra 30 minutes of footage that will be packed for the home video version of the film. They are looking into bots to make the mass-banning possible. User growth then skyrocketed after the Internet caught wind of the droll idea to ban half the forum users, as an ultimate expression of this particular fandom. His motivation? To halve the serious strain overpopulation is exacting on the fictional universe, and bring balance to all things - as things should be.
