Domino's Pizza, Inc.is filling more than just bellies in one DE city.

Fouracre declined to disclose specific grant details, but said they're "smaller", "not multi-million dollar" awards created to add on to pothole-fixing budgets.

Cash-strapped authorities have welcomed the "Paving for Pizza" scheme as a way to help fix their damaged roads while conserving their budgets, but some critics have suggested such basic upkeep should be paid for by government.

You can even get interactive on the site by seeing what happens when a driver goes over a bumpy road. The paved-over potholes are emblazoned with Domino's logo and the company's catchphrase, "Oh yes we did".

The Ann Arbor-based pizza company is asking customers to nominate communities in need of road repairs as part of its Paving For Pizza campaign.

Domino's Pizza is hitting the streets to help "smooth the ride home" for deliveries by making pothole and road repairs in towns customers have nominated online.

The 40 potholes that were repaired stretched across 10 different roads. "We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store", Russell Weiner, president of Domino's United States of America, said in a statement.

But there's actually more to say about the entire campaign on a deeper level. At first, it sounded gimmicky, sure, but the company has actually helped pave more than 200 potholes to date, with Athens, Georgia, getting the most at 150. They all come with a free topping: some corporate branding on top of the pothole.
