Samsung is preparing to launch a slew of smartphones on May 21 in India. An event has been scheduled in Mumbai to launch the new smartphone that will go on sale on May 22. Interested users can also register on the Samsung website to be notified of the Galaxy J6 launch.

For the last three quarters, Samsung's smartphone shipments have come down drastically owing to Xiaomi's popular Redmi series phones and now, the tech giant is planning to bring a feature-rich Galaxy J6 with the iconic design language of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S9 series and hopes it would reinvigorate the mobile sales in the country. While the resolution hasn't been confirmed, it is rumored that the Galaxy J6 could feature a 5.6-inch 720 x 1480 HD+ resolution AMOLED display.

That said, from what we can see in the video shared by Samsung, the Galaxy J6 has very tiny bezels at its left and right side, with the top and bottom bezels being comparatively larger. If this is the case with these two, one could easily expect it the Galaxy J6 to be priced somewhat around Rs 12,990 and the Galaxy A6+ could be priced between Rs 25,000 to Rs 27,000.

The latest leak confirms that the Galaxy J6 is going to be equipped with an Infinity Display, just like the Galaxy A6+. The Galaxy J series phones will include the Galaxy J4 and the Galaxy J6.

The J4 is really nothing to write home about, looking like a blast from the past, and featuring up to 3GB RAM paired with an Exynos 7570 SoC, as well as a single 13MP rear-facing camera, single 5MP selfie shooter, and 3000mAh battery. According to SamMobile report, the Galaxy J6 and J4 will both run Android Oreo 8.0. The Galaxy J6 will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 7870 chipset, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Budget Samsung features such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Savings are also likely to make a comeback.
