Tej Pratap will Wednesday Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Prasad Rai and daughter of RJD MLA Chandrika Rai, at the veterinary grounds in Patna later on Saturday.

Aishwarya is the daughter of RJD legislator Chandrika Rai and the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai. With the political heavyweights descending to Patna for blessing Tej Pratap, the uncommon sights and sounds will surely be highlighted.

Lalu Yadav's younger son and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and daughter Misa Bharti, a Rajya Sabha lawmaker, also greeted the chief minister.

The hype and hoopla surrounding the guest list for the wedding of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad's elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, seemed to have fizzled out by late Saturday afternoon, as many political heavyweights gave it a miss. Earlier, the RJD chief had applied for a 5 day parole but had been granted a 3 day parole only to attend his son's wedding.

Lalu, who has been in prison since December after his conviction in a Fodder Scam case, secured provisional bail of six weeks on health grounds on Friday.

Mr. Prasad, lodged in Ranchi jail, had applied for a five-day parole and was expected to reach Patna on Wednesday.

Prominent among the VVIP guests included former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, Congress veteran Digvijay Singh, NCP leader Praful Patel, Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha and Sharad Yadav among others.

"We have received confirmation that Rahul and Priyanka will be coming to attend the wedding". Nitish was then sworn in as the Chief Minister a day after with BJP's support and joined BJP led NDA back. Sources said an elated Lalu called up his would-be daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai to say her arrival was proving to be lucky for him.

The wedding was solemnized at the sprawling Bihar Veterinary College ground in the presence of several party leaders and dignitaries. Governor Satyapal Malik also congratulated Lalu family.
