Polls are open until 7:30 p.m., but anyone in line at closing time will be allowed to vote. The new threshold makes it less likely there will be runoff elections.

"If you vote early, you're off the list".

If you're already registered to vote, you will have recieved a voting booklet in the mail that contains are pertinent information for the upcoming primaries.

By far, southeastern IN voters chose to vote on a Republican ballot more often on Tuesday, May 8.

Voter turnout in Allen County for Tuesday's primary election was just 15 percent, according to unofficial returns.

At Stranahan Elementary there was a steady stream of voters going to the polls.

Ballots for voters around the region are headlined by either a GOP senate primary or a Democratic race for district three.

All 80 seats in the California State Assembly, 20 of the 40 seats in the California State Senate, all 53 seats of California's seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, and California's Class 1 seat in the U.S. Senate, now held by Dianne Feinstein (D), are up for election this year.

Vox also says North Carolina might be home to the "next Conor Lamb", referencing the moderate Democrat who ousted a Republican congressional incumbent in Pennsylvania during a special election this year. Still, not all will have a primary.

Kathy Foy, deputy clerk in the Grant County Election Office, had previously reported a large turnout of absentee voters and attributed the increased interest to the prosecutor's race, a race that decided former Deputy Prosecutor Rodney Faulk as the victor by less than 200 votes. She too said she was primarily interested in the Republican congressional race. School funding, a failed golf course, allegations of misleading campaign ads and a campaign finance complaint have become part of the bitter back and forth in the contests. Wood County election officials said they don't have voter turnout numbers at this time. If your move was more than 30 days before the election, you can ask for a transfer from your old polling place, or you can go to your new polling place and ask for a provisional ballot if your name isn't on the voter roll.

Wake County voters looking for election results might notice vote totals coming in more slowly than usual.

State elections director Kim Strach said problems involving electronic poll books and unaffiliated voters at four Halifax County precincts Tuesday morning were quickly resolved. Results are not considered official until local election boards complete a canvass of the votes.
