Giuliani: Cohen might have paid other women

Earlier, this week, he appeared on Sean Hannity and said that President Trump paid back $130,000 to Cohen, who had offered the money to adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep her affair with Trump under the wraps.

In real life, Stormy has made claims that she had an affair with the President, and Cohen later allegedly tried to buy her silence.

"No, he's going to need to comply with a subpoena". And either these payments-whoever and wherever they came from- were structured to avoid campaign finance law violations, or they were "funneled", in Giuliani's word, through a law firm, which made them, in his opinion, legal. He makes a call to Baldwin's Trump.

Asked why Cohen had made the payment on Air Force One in April, he replied: 'You'll have to ask Michael Cohen.

"Can't say that", Giuliani said.

Giuliani also left open the possibility that the president's longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, made payments to additional women on Trump's behalf.

In an interview Sunday with ABC's "This Week," Giuliani dismissed as rumor his own statements about Trump's payment to the actress.

Avenatti also spoke to ABC, calling Giuliani's interview "an absolute, unmitigated disaster for Rudy Giuliani and the president, a train wreck". "I would not characterize it that way, the president himself characterized it as not a campaign expenditure", Conway said.

Clinton, whom the FBI investigated for using a private email server to conduct official business as secretary of state, was interviewed without having been sworn in under oath, and no one prepared a transcript of the relatively brief discussion.

Cohen is facing a criminal investigation in NY, and FBI agents raided his home and office several weeks ago seeking records about the Daniels nondisclosure agreement.

Avenatti knocked Giuliani's explanation that, as a recent addition to Trump's legal team, he is still "getting up to speed" on the details of the Cohen case and the arrangement with Daniels. I asked the president what he meant and he said: "'I didn't know about it when the payment occurred'".

"In speaking with the president just yesterday, when the president said "no" on Air Force One, he was talking about he didn't know when the payment occurred", she said.

He also defended Trump's ability to pardon people while saying that a pardon for Michael Cohen, the president's lawyer, "has not been discussed".

"We predicted months ago that it would be proven that the American people had been lied to as to the $130k payment and what Mr. Trump knew, when he knew it and what he did in connection with it", he wrote on Twitter.

"I can't prove that, I can just say it's rumour".

Either way, Giuliani said it's time for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to shut down Mueller's investigation.

Giuliani told multiple news outlets last week that Cohen had complained after the 2016 election about Trump not reimbursing him for the Daniels payment.

Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti reacted swiftly to the revelation, accusing the United States president of lying.

The former New York City mayor is embracing his client's preferred approach to challenges as he mounts Trump's defence through the media.
