Bill Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault in his retrial on Thursday.

"Effective immediately, Bounce is pulling 'The Cosby Show", a spokesperson for the show said in a statement.

Bill Cosby was convicted Thursday of drugging and raping Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004, marking a new fall from grace for a comedian who built his reputation as America's Dad.

Wesleyan University would become the second university in CT to revoke an honorary degree for Cosby, a once lauded comedian and public figure who has faced numerous accusations of sexual assault in recent years. She is a former administrator for the women's basketball team at Temple University, the college that Cosby attended.

Government lawyers then made a decision to retry Cosby.

TMZ reports that the courtroom was full for many days as people anxiously awaited a verdict in the Cosby trial.

At Cosby's first trial, which ended in a deadlocked jury less than a year ago, only one additional accuser was allowed to testify.

Constand is one of about 50 women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault. He faces a defamation lawsuit from Summer Zervos, a contestant on his former reality show who accuses him of sexually harassing her. Trump's lawyer has said her accusations are false and politically motivated. But for the retrial, prosecutors were able to call on five other accusers who testified that they too were drugged by Cosby.

In closing arguments, defense attorney Kathleen Bliss positioned Cosby's legal team as standing up against "witch hunts, lynchings (and) McCarthyism".

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission. Dozens of accusers pointed to the transcript as vindication of their claims, and public pressure to file charges in Constand's case, which was still within the statute of limitations, increased.
