Gmail's big redesign is rolling out to all on the web

Gmail's'confidential mode lets you set expiration dates on emails

Google redesigned Gmail's security warnings to more prominently label potential phishing traps or other high-risk emails, a welcome addition especially given Gmail's recent scam issues.

For example, users will now be able to hover over an email subject line to RSVP to an invite, archive a message or set a snooze alarm. While the first three were already a part of Gmail's functionality, Snooze is the latest addition and it allows you to put off emails that you can not get to at the moment.

Nudges are brand new to Google's email apps. With Gmail, Google said it rebuilt email stockpiling databases, bound together three dueling frameworks for matching up messages crosswise over gadgets and overhauled PCs supporting the administration.

Over on mobile, we'll see two new features geared toward keeping you focused and reducing clutter in your inbox.

Gmail is undeniably one of the - if not the - most popular email services used by people around the world.

Many of those features feel geared at business users. For instance, Gmail will detect when questions have been sent to your inbox and will offer responses in variations of Yes, No, or Maybe. Gmail makes it so.

I like that Inbox by Gmail is built and designed with casual users in mind.

New high-visibility warnings for potentially risky messages.

Google will also be adding a new confidential mode to their web-app. Users also have the option to stop recipients from forwarding, copying, downloading or even printing out a message you've sent them.

Anxious about an email recipient forwarding your message? If you don't respond to an email that Gmail thinks is important after a few days, or if a person hasn't responded to an important email you've sent a few days ago, Google will call the thread to your attention, so you can follow up.

Additionally, an expiration date can be set to automatically delete the email after the mentioned time interval. Instead of the email message, your inbox will receive a link to access the confidential message.

Google has also introduced Tasks on the web browser, a new tool that lets users create tasks (and sub-tasks within those), adding due dates for those tasks and notifications to remind you when the deadline is approaching. However, this time Google is gearing up for a solid competition to Microsoft's office suite which is giving a tough front to Google's own office assistance software - the G suite.

Gmail's big redesign was not a very well kept secret.

"High-priority notifications is a new setting that only notifies you of important messages, keeping interruptions to a minimum".

Security is the top priority in new Gmail. Such messages show up at the top of your inbox.
