Rivaldo reveals why Neymar must leave PSG

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly backed Brazil worldwide Neymar to join Manchester United this summer.

Neymar has been impressive for the Parc Des Princes side with 28 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season.

Former Barcelona player and Brazil global Rivaldo is making an argument that his countryman Neymar will not be able to fulfill his ambition of being the best player in the world at Paris Saint-Germain.

Many believe the former FC Barcelona forward's next destination will be Los Blancos, despite having only joined the French giants at the beginning of this season.

Neymar has ambitions to become the best player in world football ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and Rivaldo has claimed that will not be achieved while playing in France. He has to leave PSG. But I believe that, from what I hear, from people who bring information to me, he has a chance to play for Real Madrid.

The Brazilian is unlikely to feature again this season for PSG, but is likely to be ready for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation in June. It's different. I'm talking in terms of football, competition. If you look at England, Spain, Italy, Germany.

"I hope I won't watch the World Cup on TV!"

"It would be hard for him to go back to Barcelona".

Neymar, 26, joined PSG in the off-season in a world-record £200m (R3.4b) deal from FC Barcelona, citing his ambition to win the Ballon d'Or without having to personally compete with five-time victor of the coveted honour, Lionel Messi.

He won the UEFA Champions League title with the Catalan club in 2015 along with two Spanish League titles in 2014 and 2015.
