Alfredo Morelos of Rangers is challenged by Kristoffer Ajer of Celtic during the Scottish Cup Semi Final match between Rangers and Celtic at Hampden Park

The pair were reportedly involved in an angry dressing room exchange with manager Graeme Murty after the 4-0 defeat to Celtic in Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership, 13 points behind Celtic at the split with five games remaining.

According Sky Sports, both Wallace and Miller will be suspended. "They are not disruptive players at all".

An investigation is underway from Rangers chiefs into the conduct of striker Miller, 38, and left-back Wallace, 30, neither of whom played in the clash at Hampden.

A tweet from the club's official Twitter account read 'Rangers can confirm two players, Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller, have this morning been suspended pending investigation into a team related incident.

There have also been reports of Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty fighting in the tunnell after the game while Andy Halliday and Daniel Candieas made their feelings know after theu had been substituted. There's been fights but it's never come out in the press.

"The Ibrox hierarchy are raging with the behaviour of the club's most senior player and club captain after Sunday's defeat", a source told the Scottish Sun. For me, an very bad lot would need to happen in that dressing room [for players to be suspended].

"People will say it's not the best time to speak out, when the adrenaline is still going but you can look at it both ways".
